Statement of Purpose
The Northern California Enamel Guild (NCEG) Juried Enamel Exhibitions offer the opportunity to see the most contemporary and innovative enamel art that is being created. The exhibition includes functional and non-functional, two-dimensional and three-dimensional works that illustrate the wide scope of artwork created by the enameling process.

Submit Entry Form
Submission of artwork is online. Go to the Entry Form and select the images to be entered.

Eligibility
Artists do not have to be a member of NCEG to submit entries for jurying but must be a member to participate in the show. The artist is required to be a California artist because the gallery requires residency. Eligibility of the artist's work includes:

Specifications
All work must be suitably prepared for installation. And due to the gallery size, display of large works will be limited. If you have questions about size or format please contact an exhibition co-chair (email Anna Tai or email Maryland Edwards) ."

Awards
Two cash juror Awards of Merit will be given. In addition there will be several non-cash awards.

Digital Images are Required for Jurying
Work will be judged on the basis of digital images only.

Notification
Notification of jury results will be sent the week of April 16, 2008 by email. If you do not have an e-mail address and wish to have your notification mailed, include a self addressed stamped envelope (SASE) with sufficient postage for the return of your notification.

Jurors
Kim Keyworth
Marvin Schenck
Metalsmith and enamelist with a studio in Oakland, CA.
She is primarily self-taught and has shown her work at the ACC Craft Shows and at galleries throughout the US for the past 18 years. Her work is featured on the cover of the recent book "The Art of Enameling" by Linda Darty.
Curator at the Grace Hudson Museum where he recently co-curated the exhibition "Metal Works North: Works by 35 Contemporary California Metalsmiths".
He is also a former Director of the Mendocino Art Center, previously curator at the Hearst Art Gallery, Saint Mary´s College, and a past contributor to Metalsmith magazine.

Insurance and Liability
Artists are responsible for transportation and insurance of accepted work to and from the exhibition. The NCEG and Collectors Gallery assume no responsibility for damage or loss while work is in transit. Work will be insured while on display at the Collectors Gallery with the exclusion of any damage due to acts of God.

Sales
Artists will determine the retail (selling) price of each piece on the application, keeping in mind that the Collectors Gallery will receive a 40% commission if work is sold.

NCEG Membership
To participate in the exhibition, you must be a member of the NCEG. Artists are invited to join the NCEG at any time through the Membership tab of this web site or may include membership fees to join with the exhibition entry fees.

About the Oakland Museum of California Collectors Gallery
The Collectors Gallery at the Oakland Museum of California located in Oakland, CA is operated by the Oakland Museum Women?s Board, a volunteer fundraising organization which donates all profits from the Gallery to the Art Acquisition Fund of the Oakland Museum of California for expansion of the Museum?s permanent collection. The gallery offers a diverse and continually changing collection of paintings, prints, photographs, handcrafted ceramics, wood, studio glass and jewelry; work which reflects innovative California trends.
